Assistants identify themselves as AI
A Voxenara assistant tells callers that it is an AI assistant at the start of the call. We don't try to pass the assistant off as a human, and disclosure is not an optional setting a business can switch off.
Human transfer may be available
Depending on how a business configures its service, calls can be transferred to a person — for example, for urgent or unusual situations. The specific rules for when a call reaches a human are defined by each business during setup.
AI can make mistakes
Like any AI system, a Voxenara assistant can misunderstand a caller or get something wrong. We design for this by confirming key details, booking appointments only after the connected calendar accepts them, and offering a transfer, callback or captured message when the assistant can't confidently help.
Businesses define approved workflows
Each business decides what its assistant should and shouldn't do — the questions it asks, the answers it gives, when it escalates and how it books work. The assistant operates within those approved workflows and escalation rules rather than improvising outside them.
Sensitive data is minimized
Assistants are designed to collect only the information a task needs and to avoid gathering sensitive details that aren't required. Call recording is a configurable option a business chooses to enable, not a default.
An evolving practice
Responsible AI is an ongoing effort. As the service develops, we expect to refine these principles and how we put them into practice, and we'll keep this page up to date.
